MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave College Foundation elected three new members to its board of directors and elected a new Foundation Chair at its February meeting. These changes further strengthen the Foundation’s commitment to Mohave College’s student success across Mohave County.

The Foundation welcomes Dr. Laura Dohner, Derrick Voss and Ted Knisely as its newest board members.

Dr. Dohner brings extensive experience in higher education, literacy initiatives, curriculum development and international education. She has served in executive leadership roles for nonprofit organizations and currently serves as President of the Kingman Rotary Club. Her work reflects a strong commitment to education and community service.

Derrick Voss is a longtime Mohave County resident and commercial lending professional with more than two decades of experience supporting local businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the region. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of the Colorado River and brings valuable financial expertise and regional insight to the Foundation.

Ted Knisely is a construction industry professional with more than 35 years of experience and currently serves as Mohave County Business Lead for Concord General Contracting. He began his career working in a family-owned general contracting business in Pennsylvania and later owned his own concrete business. After relocating to Arizona, he built a long-standing career with Concord, advancing through multiple leadership roles including assistant superintendent, superintendent, senior superintendent, safety lead, general superintendent and leadership member. Knisely is passionate about supporting community growth and strengthening local workforce development through his leadership and industry expertise.

The Foundation also recognizes new Board members Dave La Barre and George Simon, whose professional backgrounds further strengthen the Board’s leadership. La Barre and Simon were elected to the Board in January.

Arp succeeds Ellen Brown who recently resigned after dedicating several years to the Mohave College Foundation Board. He brings a strong background in higher education advancement and nonprofit leadership and has been a dedicated supporter of the Foundation’s mission.
