North Mohave Chapter

2019-2020

The NMC Chapter kicked off the 2019-2020 Academic year with high attendance at the Annual Membership Dinner in August. Everyone had fun getting their picture taken with MCC Mascot, Boomer Bighorn!

In September, the NMC Chapter held their annual even known as Oktoberfest. It was a great event with food, drinks, and live music. This event yielded 35 new and/or renewed memberships for the foundation.

In November 2019, the North Mohave Campus Improvement Fund Endowment was created from various 2015 gift donations from many members of the Centennial Park Community, including major donor, Allen Knudson. This endowment was created with the purpose of improving the North Mohave Campus and fostering computer science courses.

In January 2020, Care1st Health Plan Arizona, A WellCare Company, created an endowment in the amount of $25,000.00 to support the North Mohave Campus and their surrounding community’s need for future healthcare professionals. The Commitment to Academic Readiness and Engagement Scholarship (CARES) endowment will be available to two students who demonstrate financial need, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and are working towards a degree in a health-related field.
