Foundation Scholarships

Generous donations to the Mohave Community College Foundation make it possible to offer scholarships to students meeting specific criteria. Criteria are set by the donor, or donor organization, and may include:

  • Demonstrating financial need
  • A minimum GPA
  • Declared in a specific academic program, or
  • Other defined criteria

Funding is limited. Students who best meet the eligibility criteria are selected for scholarships. A completed FASFA is required to apply for foundation scholarships.

Applying for Foundation Scholarships

To apply, complete the Scholarship Profile available in Self Service (myMohave). MCC has a rolling deadline for scholarship applications. Some scholarships require a short essay in addition to the Scholarship Profile and FAFSA.

A list of scholarships and their criteria is available in the yearly MCC Scholarship Guide 2022-2023. This publication shows available scholarships for the year. Because donations for scholarships are received throughout the year, this publication may not contain information about scholarships created after it was published.

Application Essays

Several scholarship opportunities require you to submit a short essay as part of the application.

Thank You Letters

Scholarship recipients are required to write Thank You Letters to the donor. Some scholarships may also require students to do an externship or attend a Foundation event. The Financial Aid Office collects Thank You letters from students. Failure to submit a Thank You Letter will result in the loss of the scholarship.

MCC offers help in writing Thank You letters through the Thank You Letter page and the Student Success Center.
