MCC mascot chooses cousin to fill the hooves

  MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s mascot Boomer Bighorn is retiring on June 30. Boomer will spend retirement relaxing and climbing mountains with loved ones who are members of the north Grand Canyon bighorn herd. Cancer Association of Havasu donates $5,500 for MCC Nursing scholarships

The Cancer Association of Havasu donated $5,000 for scholarships in honor of their Hero of the Year – Eagles Aerie 4299. The association also donated another $500 to the Rosemarie Coletta Memorial Scholarship.  Both scholarships are for Lake Havasu City residents in the second year of the MCC Nursing Program. New scholarship will help students, honor MCC employee who “made the world a better place”

The memory of a Mohave Community College employee will live on, through a scholarship set up in her name.
